Visions in the Astral Plane - Some Thoughts

I recently had some interesting experiences around visual images within my mind and their relation to astral travel and remote viewing. I've started to discover that the types of imagery within my mind have different properties based on the kind of inner visual streaming I'm doing. This is different than projections into the astral plane - more akin to brain images.

Let's look a bit deeper at this. Have you ever examined how visual images form in your mind while thinking about the differences based on you state or current level of emotion? Many times I've had odd images streaming away in my mind that I've attributed to daydreams, light sleep, dreams or visualization. Never have I thought about the properties of each.

This all came together for me one morning where I had trouble falling asleep after a very vivid dream. Later, as I was attempting to go back to sleep I noticed something odd about how my inner visions appearing in my mind's eye. The first thing I noticed was how visions started slipping into my mind as I was nearing a light sleep. They were distinctly in a different part of my sleep vision than my dream or a memory from the day before.

If I can explain it this way - the visual images from the dream seem to form somewhat above my eyesight - near the third eye. They are very strong at first but fade rapidly. Whereas, the visual image of my memory talking to a person yesterday seemed to appear directly in front of my closed eyes - mostly clear with colors and discernible faces. But, the visions that were randomly slipping through my mind seems to be slightly fluid - with some form and were to either the left or right side of my closed, direct eyesight line.

These images would start to appear such that when I focused on them more would appear while flowing by. After a minute or two I could actually start to make out a location such as trees, buildings, rooms, etc. Now, I've never been successful at remote viewing but I think this is a start.

As an experiment I would like someone to comment with two coordinate numbers that I have no idea what they represent other than a geographic location known only to the sender. Perhaps I'll be able to use my new inner vision technique to understand remote viewing better.

Astral Projection Stories - Early History

It is interesting to trace the history of astral projection and reincarnation doctrine among ancient cultures. In spite of the decided opinions, and the differing theories of the various writers on this subject, who would give Egypt, or India, or the lost Atlantis, as the birthplace of the doctrine, there does not seem to be a belief that such ideas are but attempts to attribute a universal intuitive belief to some specific culture. Whether the doctrine of Reincarnation ever "originated" anywhere, as a new and distinct doctrine is uncertain. It may have sprang into existence whenever and wherever man arrived at a stage of intellectual development sufficient to enable him to form a mental conception of a Something that lived after Death.

No matter from what source this belief in a "ghost" originated, it must be admitted that it is found among all peoples, and is apparently an universal idea. And, running along with it in ancient cultures, we find that there is, and always has been, an idea, more or less vague and indistinct, that somehow, someway, sometime, this "ghost" of the person returns to earthly existence and takes upon itself a new fleshly garment-a new body.

Here, then, is where the idea of Reincarnation begins-everywhere, at a certain stage of human mental development. It runs parallel with the "ghost" idea, and seems bound up with that conception in nearly every case. When man evolves a little further, he begins to reason that if the "ghost" is immortal, and survives the death of the body, and returns to take upon itself a new body, then it must have lived before the last birth, and therefore must have a long chain of lives behind it. This is the second step. The third step is when man begins to reason that the next life is dependent upon something done or left undone in the present life. And upon these three fundamental ideas the doctrine of Reincarnation has been built.

Spiritualists claim that in addition to this universal idea, which is more or less intuitive, people have received more or less instruction, from time to time, from certain advanced souls which have passed on to higher planes of existence, and who are now called the Masters, Adepts, Teachers, Race Guides, etc., etc. But whatever may be the explanation, it remains a truth that man seems to have worked out for himself, in all times and in all places, first, an idea of a "ghost" which persists after the body dies; and second, that this "ghost" has lived before in other bodies, and will return again to take on a new body. There are various ideas regarding "heavens" and "hells," but underlying them all there persists this idea of re-birth in some of its phases.

The earlier travelers in Africa have reported that here and there they found evidences and traces of what was to them "a strange belief" in the future return of the soul to a new body on earth. The early explorers of America found similar traditions and beliefs among the Native Americans, survivals of which exist even unto this day. It is related of a number of tribes, in different parts of the world, that they place the bodies of their dead children by the roadside, in order that their souls may be given a good chance to find new bodies by reason of the approaching of many traveling pregnant women who pass along the road. A number of these cultures hold to the idea of a complex soul, composed of several parts, in which they resemble the Egyptians, Hindus, Chinese, and in fact all mystical and occult philosophies.

The Figi Islanders are said to believe in a black soul and a white soul, the former of which remains with the buried body and disintegrates with it, while the white soul leaves the body and wanders as a "ghost," and afterward, tiring of the wandering, returns to life in a new body. The natives of Greenland are said to believe in an astral body, which leaves the body during sleep, but which perishes as the body disintegrates after death; and a second soul which leaves the body only at death, and which persists until it is reborn at a later time. In fact, nearly all of the primitives races, and those semi-civilized, show traces of a belief in a complex soul, and a trace of doctrine of Reincarnation in some form.

Google Doodle References Unexplained Phenomenon - Mystery Solved

In an odd move today - the Google Doodle is referencing the search term 'Unexplained Phenomena'. The amount of speculation has been starting up around the internet asking why Google would modify their doodle this way - showing a UFO. Some have mentioned that the search term itself has been trending lately. Bloggers and Twitter users alike have been noting the logo.

The only UFO event that comes close is the UFO incident at Exeter on Sept. 3, 1965 - one of the most famous UFO events in history. There is a UFO Festival in Exeter today.

Oddly the clue to the Google Doodle secret seems to be on Twitter. If you go to Google's Twitter account you see the following entry:

With simple substitution this reads:

Astral Colors

The term "astral," so frequently employed by all occultists, is difficult to explain or define except to those who have pursued a regular course of study in occult science. For the purpose of the present consideration, it is enough to say that over and above the ordinary physical sense plane there is another and more subtle plane, known as the Astral Plane. Every human being possesses the innate and inherent faculty of sensing the things of this astral plane, by means of an extension or enlargement of the powers of the ordinary senses, so to speak. But, in the majority of persons in the present stage of development, these astral senses are lying dormant, and only here and there do we find individuals who are able to sense on the astral plane, although in the course of evolution the entire race will be able to do so, of course. The colors of the human aura, mentioned in the preceding two chapters, and which arise from the various mental and emotional states, belong to the phenomena of the astral plane, and hence bear the name of "the[24] astral colors."

Belonging to the astral plane, and not to the ordinary physical plane, they are perceived only by the senses functioning on the astral plane, and are invisible to the ordinary physical plane sight. But, to those who have developed the astral sight, or clairvoyance, these colors are as real as are the ordinary colors to the average person, and their phenomena have been as carefully recorded by occult science as have the physical plane colors by physical science. The fact that to the ordinary physical senses they are invisible, does not render them any the less real. Remember, in this connection, that to the blind man our physical colors do not exist. And, for that matter, the ordinary colors do not exist to "color blind" persons. The ordinary physical plane person is simply "color blind" to the astral colors—that's all.

On the astral plane each shade of mental or emotional state has its corresponding astral color, the latter manifesting when the form appears. It follows then, of course, that when once the occultist has the key to this color correspondence, and thus is able to perceive the astral colors by means of his astral vision, he also is able to read the mental and emotional states of any person within the range[25] of his vision, as easily as you are now reading the printed words of this book.

I have stated therein that the prana-aura is colorless like a diamond or clear water. This is true in the average case, but in the case of a person of very strong physical vitality or virility, the prana-aura takes on, at times, a faint warm pink tinge, which is really a reflection from the red astral color, of the meaning of which color you shall now learn.

Like their physical plane counterparts, all the astral colors are formed from three Primary Colors, namely (1) Red; (2) Blue; and (3) Yellow. From these three primary colors, all other colors are formed. Following the Primary Colors, we find what are known as the Secondary Colors, namely: (1) Green, derived from a combination of Yellow and Blue; (2) Orange, formed from a combination of Yellow and Red; and (3) Purple, formed from a combination of Red and Blue. Further combinations produce the other colors, as for instance, Green and Purple form Olive;[26] Orange and Purple form Russet; Green and Orange form Citrine.

Black is called an absence of color, while White is really a harmonious blending of all colors, strange as this may appear to one who has not studied the subject. The blending of the Primary Colors in varied proportions produce what is known as the "hues" of color. Adding white to the hues, we obtain "tints;" while mixing Black produces "shades." Strictly speaking Black and White are known as "neutral" colors.

Ghost Adventures Back in June

If you haven't been following the Ghost Adventures series on the Travel Channel, I highly recommend that you do so. I've watched quite a few ghost shows over the years and most do not impress me at all. However, Ghost Adventures is a different story.

The basic premise is this: three filmmakers get locked into a site considered 'most haunted' for the night - they have no way out. Then they work to draw the ghosts out if possible. Probably the single most interesting part of the show is that they get the best evidence in my opinion.

No doubt this is a great direction for spirit and astral dimension research in the future.

Incident Date: March 7, 2004

This past Sunday...the 7th. A friend and I were riding two ATVs in a place called, "The Underground" it is a public and private storage facility in Carthage, Mo. What makes this place such a desirable storage facility is that it is all underground...hence the name. They are constantly expanding this place and there are miles and miles of carved out caves in there...and it goes pretty deep. This facility stores thousands and thousands of food containers, all dehydrated for the Navy...I have seen them and it is public knowledge around here. It is also a fall out shelter able to hold some 40,000 to 50,000 people. I tell you this to give some sense of the vastness of the place. I worked there as a subcontractor some 9 years ago...I helped build the office spaces up on top. I started to explore then...about once a month and did so all the way until this past Sunday. However, I never went as far or as deep before either.

It was fun to take the ATVs and cruise underground...no rain or weather problems...ever. We were approx 8 miles in and I'd say maybe 500 feet deep when we took a turn down an area that was marked "Naval Authoritative Zone" I remember making a comment about the Navy getting a ship down there and said that was an easy posting. The walls became more defined as in: polished or finished and this was striking because this was supposed to be a newly blasted area...totally backward I would think...still thinking nothing was wrong we kept going, actually increasing speed because the floor was paved now and we could go faster. We came up on an unusual painted pattern on the floor and I thought, "cool graffiti...kids have been down here...we're safe...won't get into any trouble." The road dipped down and then it took a 90' turn to the left...we had no warning and we were going too fast. I knew we were going to hit the wall. BUT we DIDN'T...we passed through some kind of projection of the cave siding...although I don't know how it was done...it was real looking. We passed into a whole new road system...this one was large, and much older than where we came from. We started to smell an odor...musty,damp, growing stronger as we went deeper on smell. The lighting decreased as well probably 60% less than the other area's...we turned on our headlights. We continued on at about 5 to 7 miles an hour for about 5 min and we noticed it was getting cooler...which was to me, very strange...since once inside a cave a certain distance...the temp says the same. We made a right turn and started to come up on what I thought was a rest area on the side...about 40 feet away.

I thought it looked like a pair of fountains until they moved. We both stopped immediately. We were approx. 30' feet away now and what we saw were two creatures, one was very tall at least 7' feet maybe more and very powerfully built...reddish in color and the other was smaller about 6' feet but it was not red in color but pale, like an albino and it was not as powerfully built as the other. They looked like REPTILES...living, walking, intelligent beings...not human...not warm blooded. Reptiles! I know it sounds crazy but it is true. They said nothing but I did get a strong sense from the big one. A malevolence, evil presence of some kind. My friend screamed and we turned around...a power turn. We started to go back out when my friend said, "the big one" was after us. I looked back and it was following us. I had the overwhelming feeling that if it caught us that harm would come to us. We passed through the wall projection and I looked back and saw the thing raise it's arm and it had a weapon of some sorts. It fired and hit the ATV my friend was on.

The engine died and he stopped. I told him to jump on...and he did. I gunned it and then my friend said, "STOP!" I slowed down and he he said, "LOOK!". I looked back and the thing had stopped at the graffiti on the cave floor/road. The ATV was on it's side of the graffiti/symbol. It was obvious the thing would not cross the marking. I slowed more...we were now about 75' feet away. I stopped and the three of us...Me, my friend and the creature/reptile/man thing just looked at each other...for about 15 sec. And let me tell you...that is a long time. Then I started to leave...It stayed there waiting and not moving until we were out of sight. As soon as we cleared the cave I got on my cell phone and called the Sheriff's Dept. I was told that they would not come out and that "Underground Security" would handle it. Then they hung up! By law they are not to do that...We can hang up on anyone...but a government office, be it City or Federal can not hang up on you.

Anyway, I was shocked and scared and we took off across the outside of the underground over to my truck and sure enough...Underground Security was waiting for us. We were told to leave, not to tell anybody about this...that if I come back...The Navy would press charges. I was also told that I had 10 min to leave or I would be taken in. What can I say...we left. It has been 3 days since this has happened and I am still shaken. I am a powerful person, 6'4" and 265 lbs and I have never in my life be afraid for my life...until this past Sunday. I lost my one of my two ATV's.Vin#5y4Ag0o1y61a071120. As far as I know...it is still down there. My friend will not talk about it and I have not heard anything from anyone about it. I did call the Sheriff's Dept. and they said they never got a call from me.

Well, that is my story...I have never had anything strange happen in my life and I am very very concerned about this. I can tell you this...I had an urge to kill the things I saw down there...I don't know if that is a natural reaction as most people have a natural revulsion towards reptiles or because of my faith and the feeling of evil I had...or what. All I know is that they are real...and I wish I could do something...anything to combat or help against these things. Tunguska Explosion in Siberia Caused by Smaller Asteroid?

The stunning amount of forest devastation at Tunguska a century ago in Siberia may have been caused by an asteroid only a fraction as large as previously published estimates, Sandia National Laboratories supercomputer simulations suggest.

“The asteroid that caused the extensive damage was much smaller than we had thought,” says Sandia principal investigator Mark Boslough of the impact that occurred June 30, 1908. “That such a small object can do this kind of destruction suggests that smaller asteroids are something to consider. Their smaller size indicates such collisions are not as improbable as we had believed.”

Because smaller asteroids approach Earth statistically more frequently than larger ones, he says, “We should be making more efforts at detecting the smaller ones than we have till now.”

The new simulation — which more closely matches the widely known facts of destruction than earlier models — shows that the center of mass of an asteroid exploding above the ground is transported downward at speeds faster than sound. It takes the form of a high-temperature jet of expanding gas called a fireball.

This causes stronger blast waves and thermal radiation pulses at the surface than would be predicted by an explosion limited to the height at which the blast was initiated.

“Our understanding was oversimplified,” says Boslough, “We no longer have to make the same simplifying assumptions, because present-day supercomputers allow us to do things with high resolution in 3-D. Everything gets clearer as you look at things with more refined tools.”

Sandia is a National Nuclear Security Administration laboratory.

The new interpretation also accounts for the fact that winds were amplified above ridgelines where trees tended to be blown down, and that the forest at the time of the explosion, according to foresters, was not healthy. Thus previous scientific estimates had overstated the devastation caused by the asteroid, since topographic and ecologic factors contributing to the result had not been taken into account.

“There’s actually less devastation than previously thought,” says Boslough, “but it was caused by a far smaller asteroid. Unfortunately, it’s not a complete wash in terms of the potential hazard, because there are more smaller asteroids than larger ones.”

Boslough and colleagues achieved fame more than a decade ago by accurately predicting that that the fireball caused by the intersection of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter would be observable from Earth.

Simulations show that the material of an incoming asteroid is compressed by the increasing resistance of Earth’s atmosphere. As it penetrates deeper, the more and more resistant atmospheric wall causes it to explode as an airburst that precipitates the downward flow of heated gas.

Rebecca Hodgson's horse was spooked by a mysterious light in the sky

ONE WEEK on since the Louth Leader broke the news of UFO sightings above a wrecked wind turbine in Conisholme, a new eyewitness has come forward.

Rebecca Hodgson of Louth was at her horse's stables off London Road, Louth Saturday January 3 - the night before the 65 ft blade fell from the turbine in Conisholme - when her horse was spooked by a 'flashing orange ball' in the sky.

Rebecca described how her horse stopped suddenly and gazed up at the sky as a bright orange light circled above the turbines.

She said: "It was really bright and glowing, it went dimmer and then moved across horizontally".

Shocked at her horse's reaction, Rebecca called her mum and sister shouting there was a UFO in the sky.

"Animals are more susceptible to things like that. Obviously we get a lot of airplanes flying over but she never normally gets bothered by them. I instantly thought it was strange".

The story of the UFO sightings and the mystery of the falling blade took the world by storm with national newspapers and news crews the site of the wind farm.

The fallen blade has since been sent to Germany for forensic testing.

A spokesperson from the wind farm company, Ecotricity said: ""The blade has been sent to Germany for analysis and hopefully we will get the results in by the end of the week – if there is a rational answer out there, we will find it".

I happened to stumble upon this reference to one of Robert Bruce's interesting concept called the New Energy Ways System. Although I've only just started reading about it, it looks like it is based on eastern religious ways to move and sense energy in your body. Here's a quote:

"NEW [New Energy Ways] is a simple yet powerful method of directly simulating your energy body with your tactile senses - a true armchair system. It is easy to learn and to use. The majority of students move energy well and experience noticeable energy movement sensations during their first practice session. Energy movements are felt with a variety of predictable sensations, including warmth, tingling, heaviness, tightness, bone deep tickling and buzzing."

The thought behind this is to teach yourself how to sense energy paths first by direct stimulation of your hands and limbs and then by memory or sensation. Energy flow will then start to become something you can control. Here's an example exercise:

"Another demonstration exercise is to hold your hands out in front, palms facing, 12 inches apart. Imagine and 'feel' that you have a tennis ball sized globe of energy held in the right. Next, bounce this ball between your hands, without moving your hands. Imagine and 'feel' this ball bouncing from palm to palm. Keep doing this for half a minute, then extend the bounce action so the ball is passing 'through' your hands, several inches each side."

Parapsychology researcher Albert Taylor returned to discuss out-of-body experiences (OBEs) as well as physical attacks by spirit entities. The onset of an OBE typically involves three sensations, he detailed: 1) paralysis, where the soul disconnects from the body, 2) vibration, as the transition begins to the astral plane and 3) a roaring or electronic sound.

There are a number of levels to the astral plane, he said, and as you rise higher vibrationally, you move upwards. Beyond the astral, is the etheric plane, a light body realm where Taylor said he has also journeyed.

The Mysterious Doorway of Aramu Muru

Located in the remote mountain region of southern Peru is a mysterious place revered by local Peruvians as 'The Place of the Gods'. Known as the Doorway of Aramu Muru, it stands near the border with Bolivia on Lake Titicaca where Inca legend says life was first created on Earth.

The doorway, a squarish stone cut-out in a flat, cliff outcropping, is surrounded by mystery. Hidden in a land full of Inca ceremonial chulpas and other rock-carved temples, the doorway is purported to be a passageway to another dimension. Locals have claimed that people have dissappeared and reappeared near the door. Many refuse to get close to the door claiming it to be a portal for the ancient gods. Some have noted strange, tall men accompanied by glowing balls of lights and walking through the doorway.

Some travelers have experienced falling throught the doorway and traveling to another dimension. One witness, Jerry Wills, said "My experience here has been fantastic! I believe I have actually been through the doorway, traveling into another dimension past the universe."

He described a voyage through the universe to another realm. Jerry story continues:

"'I'm back...,' I quietly whispered. I felt it a struggle to move or speak. As I moved closer to my wife I heard her quietly sobbing. I moved closer. When asked if she was all right, I was told how she had seen me vanish. One moment I had been there and the next I seemed to fade away. 'Where were you?', she asked, 'I was afraid you might not come back...' It was clear that she had been frightened by what she had seen. I tried to explain but couldn't relate my experiences to her. I needed time to think. I needed time to understand how to put into words what I had experienced."

I stumbled across this method of Astral Projecting the other day. This technique requires three people to get setup. One person is the subject and will be prepared by the other two. The goal is to use physical techniques in combination with imagry to induce the OBE.It begins with the projector lying down on his or her back in low or darkly lit room. The two helpers adjust themselves to be positioned at the subject's head and feet. The helpers use a fairly rough touch to disorient and create a warm sensation on the forehead's third eye while holding him/her down at the ankles. The forehead is rubbed over and over for 5 to 10 minutes giving the projector a humming / vibrating feeling. This is done until the subject's skin tingles and he/she starts to feel unusually light.

At this point the projector tires to use imagery to visualize his / her feet stretching out - longer and longer, slowly by an inch or two. Once this feeling is reached the same exercise is repeated with the head - stretching out as well. This visualized motion is repeated over and over until the imagined distance is about two feet. The goal is to finally visualize both at once and feel your astral body swelling to the size of the room. As the subject progresses this can take as long as he/she wants until the desired result is completed.

Now the subject should imaging himself/herself outside the front door of the building they are in and attempt to describe everything they see from colors, shapes, objects, sizes, etc. Slowly the projector should rise up and attempt to visualize/see the surrounding city or landscape. Next, the subject should attempt to alter the visualized scene by imagine day turning into night, having the sun rise and set and turning lights on and off. The last step is to attempt to float off to another visualized land of the subject's choosing. The goal at this point is to have very vivid imagery so detailed that anything can be described in detail.

At any time the projector can stop and come back, relax and take some time to get back to a normal state. If repeated over time this can create an effective way of strengthening imagery and visualization while guiding oneself to a stronger astral projection.

I had to take some time off from my online work to get back to some family basics and just take a general break. But now I'm refreshed!

Last night, the family jumped in the car and went ghost hunting at some of our local hauntings. We stopped at Billy's Bar and Grill where a woman apparently is seen looking down from the abandoned 3rd floor window.

It is rumored that this now local bar at one time was a whore house. Not to the liking of the owner at the time she was over powered by her male employees and was unable to keep the establishment a simple tavern for the traveling loggers working on the nearby Rum River. She died up stairs in one of the bedrooms not to soon after the uprising. To this day several people (patrons & employees) have noticed tables set in the morning when arriving to work, pictures on the wall moved around, and simple cleaning tasks done when no one had actually done them. The old maid has also been seen in the bar and restaurant wandering aimlessly.

It started link any other day at work - I was going to another meeting just after my morning coffee at about 9:30am when a very odd feeling came over me. It is difficult to explain but it seemed to be some kind of internal resonance deep within my chest that was starting to radiate outward almost like an extension of a third chakra. As the meeting progressed so did the glow - it started to resonant throughout my entire body!

I was listening and talking to the others in the meeting but felt a lightness of being I don't think I have ever felt before. I had reached a point of such peace and tranquility that I almost floated out of the room. My entire body was now completely tuned to this feeling - I even had the urge to project this feeling to the others in the room!

It was difficult for me to have the meeting end because I wanted that feeling to last as I went back to my desk. I'm investigating what this might be and have been trying to recreate it. I'll write more later - but, it might be tied to a new product I purchased recently.
